We return to Lee-on-the-Solent for this year’s Captain’s day – a Thursday.
- 8:30-9:20 After a coffee and bacon bap on arrival
- 9:30-10:18 we’ll play a 9-hole 3 man Team Texas Scramble.
- 11:30-13:00 rolling Lite lunch – Ham, egg and chips
- 12:34-13:22 Individual stableford
- later – 2 course evening meal
- Starter: Brussels pâté with toasted ciabatta and onion chutney
- Main: Topside of beef
- Prize giving
NTP’s on all the par 3’s:
- 7th and 9th all day… we try once in the morning (am) and again in the afternoon (pm).
- 13th, 14th and 17th in the afternoon.
Entry fee for the competitions is £10 per player,
including £3 for the birdies competition, which lasts all day.
The draw has been done. It’s the same 3 balls in the afternoon as in the morning. There’ll be 3 groups with buggies going out first, then 4 groups of walkers.
Lee-on-the-Solent’s guidelines
Course:
- Golf shoes and appropriate golfing attire must be worn on the golf course.
- No denims or trainers are allowed, and golfers should wear golfing shirt with collar and shorts that are tailored with predominantly white socks. Shirts are to be tucked inside shorts or trousers.
Clubhouse:
- Please note that we are now cashless with card payments only over the bar.
- Smart casual wear is acceptable in the clubhouse at all times; shirts must have collars.
- Golf shoes, collarless t-shirts, tracksuits, baseball caps and hats are not permitted.
- Mobile Phones may be on but switched to silent or vibrate and calls may be answered on the balcony or in the passageway, but NOT in the bar. Phones are to be used on the course in EMERGENCIES ONLY.
Etiquette
- The repair of pitch marks and divots is essential to the quality of the course.
- Speed of play must be adhered to at all times. A player should pick up and move on if unable to score.
- Players should conduct themselves within the rules of golf at all times.
Format
- We prefer matches to be played in three-ball format. Medal play and Texas Scramble is a slow format and is only acceptable by prior arrangement.
